Save the Dates!!

Greetings Dear Volunteers,

It has been a summer of record breaking sales for Bizarre Bazaar thanks to the efficiency of all of you. Donations from this dear community continue to supply the shop with wonderful merchandise. And YOU continue to get it into the shop in record breaking time.

Save the Dates:

TEAM LEADERS' MEETING

When: Wednesday, September 2nd after the board meeting

Time: 12:00 p.m. (light lunch will be served)

Where: At BB

Why:

  • Planning annual training session
  • Schedule BB Events Calendar for next 6 months

TO ALL CAL MEMBERS

ANNUAL TRAINING SESSION FOR BIZARRE BAZAAR

When: Wednesday, September 16th

Time: Immediately after the first CAL meeting of the season

Where: Meet in the shop (the shop will be closed until 1:00)

Why:

  • Julia Kerns, who is our fabulous merchandising designer, will give wonderful "How to" ideas for displaying our housewares and furniture donations with style.
  • Robert will be showing examples of items that sell at auction that may not sell in the shop. Many items will be a surprise! Robert just brought in $744.00 from the merchandise that was passed on or given to him for his trips to the auctions in Bonners' Ferry and Spokane.
  • The basics will also be covered as a refresher and for new volunteers.

The session will be helpful to all of you, whether experienced in the shop processes or are new to CAL.

Big thanks to Mona and Cary Kelly for bringing in a truck load of mulch and spreading it on the beautiful perennial garden Mona has created for BB. We are so grateful to our "husbands" for all they do to help us at BB.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED as a backup Donation Distributor. Cindy has a chart on the wall above the outgoing donations for volunteers to commit to helping distribute the "pass on" merchandise. It's easy to do. Call us for more information. We'd so appreciate the help.

PLEASE NOTE: SUMMER donations are now being stored for next year. FALL is in the air and our shop. All is well.

Most appreciatively,

Joyce and Cindy
