BIZARRE BAZAAR
A DATE TO REMEMBER

Dear Volunteers,

January was record setting for BB - sales increased $4,000 over January 2015. And it's all accomplished while we're having such a good time together.

Gentle Reminders:
Odds and ends of notes are still appearing on items that at one time meant something to someone but after a few days the new staff has no idea what any note means without:
  1. Name
  2. Phone number
  3. Date
It helps the team leaders that come after your shift!

The Team Leaders' Meeting is this Wednesday morning from 10:00 a.m. - 12 :00 p.m. at the shop. New team leaders are always needed so if you are interested in at least learning about the responsibilities of being a team leader please come to the meeting. You are very welcome as are your ideas. It's the ever unfolding of new ideas that make BB so special. Team Leaders, please bring your yellow folders if you have them. Thanks.

We have noticed recently, that most volunteers prefer to bring their own drinks, such as coffee, water or sodas. We have decided to discontinue purchasing water in plastic bottles to help reduce plastic in landfills. Please use paper cups or available cups/glassware to savor our local water. In the interest of you fellow volunteers, please wash and dry after using any glassware or cups.

Marilyn Haddad has the following information about our jewelry cases:

"We have an abundant & amazing supply of jewelry these days. Suzy Bryant has recently sent some wonderful jewelry, all priced and ready to sell. In addition I have been working on a back log of jewelry donations lately. We now are fully stocked with some beautiful and unique pieces. There is something for everyone including rings, watches, pins, earrings, bracelets, and sets. I have also created a special Valentine's display for our sweethearts and loved ones. Please suggest a special item from the jewelry counter to accessorize a sweater or dress that someone has chosen whenever possible. Last week marked the beginning of Solar Spring, as we say goodbye to dark days & hello to more sunshine!"

Fondly,
Joyce and Cindy
