Happy New Year Dear CAL members,

I have a resolution we can all keep, and it's my promise for the new year:

Think deeply, speak gently, love much, laugh aloud, work hard, give freely and be kind.

With such a busy holiday season it feels good to be back in a routine. The board met last Wednesday and we had a lot to share, but not all business of course. We did not hold our mid-year budget review due to the weather. We will meet in February when Toni Sommer returns for a visit.

Our Christmas luncheon at Schweitzer Mountain Resort was fabulous. Thank you to Tina Reynolds and her committee for a beautiful event. I also want to shout out to Karen Wallace for arranging bus transportation and driving.

I'm looking forward to our Galentine Goddess event in February. Tina will be sharing details at our general meeting. Remember ladies, there’s a little bit of goddess in all of us.

Julia Kearns brought her vision of "Date Night" to CAL's Kinderhaven Tree. She and her committee designed the most gorgeous tree, with trips, gift certificates to local restaurants and other services, plus lots of wine and beer. Our CAL tree sold on night of the Gala for $10,500 and is a record I believe. What a Lucky person who took the tree home! And how wonderful for Kinderhaven!

This month's program will be a presentation from the Bonner County Historical Society and Museum. This should be very fun and interesting. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone Wednesday, January 17, 2018. Coffee and social time is at 9:00 a.m. and the meeting begins at 9:30 a.m.

The photos from our Christmas Luncheon are available in our Member Photo Albums (link for members only).

Fondly,
Linda Zinn
