MESSAGE  FROM THE PRESIDENT

Dear CAL members,

It's beginning to feel like Autumn, the night air is crisp and the apples and plums are ripe. This week end I'll pick my daughter's apple trees for making cider.

Our CAL board met Wednesday, September 7th. We have a wonderful group of ladies with lots of energy, wonderful ideas and are looking forward to our first general meeting of the year, September 21st at 9:30 a.m. at Columbia Bank. Come early so you have time to enjoy fellowship, coffee, tea & goodies!

Robbie Gleason will have a table to collect membership dues. She will also have aprons available for $15.00 and a few sizes of T-shirts for $24.00. Tina Reynolds will be sharing information about our first fall event “Stein, Wine and Dine” which will be held in October. With Tina and her committee organizing the event, it is sure to be fabulous. Donna Hutter will be available to share information about CAL’s Idaho Community Foundation endowment fund.

Since there is an abundance of apples this month, here's a recipe for a delicious apple dip:
2-8 oz. blocks of cream cheese
2 tsp. Vanilla
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 T. Cream
Whip until fluffy. Add more cream if needed. Add more sugar or vanilla to taste. Enjoy!
