Dear CAL members,

This has truly been a very sad few weeks. As we remember Clarice, Pam and Vivian, remember to look towards heaven with love and then to bring your eyes back to TODAY and embrace your friends and family with all your heart.

The Day of Hope was a magical day for me. Families left with smiles. The children's faces and comments were priceless. To all who volunteered, thank you. For those who donated children's books, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Without you I would not have been able to give the gift of reading to so many.

The Festival of Trees is in the planning stages. Tina Reynolds has volunteered to help me with the tree and with her talent it will be beautiful. Our theme for the tree is Reflections of the Season. Our tree will be decorated with crystals, lace, mirrors, gold and silver. Please volunteer to be on our committee. Contact Tina or myself if you want to join us. Members, please start putting away any items you feel would adorn our tree. White wines, crystal wine glasses, tiny reflective items, lacy items, dainty gold and silver items, etc.

The Kinderhaven Luncheon will be held on December 4th, at the Bonner County Fairgrounds. I will be taking reservations and your checks at the October general meeting. Tickets are $45.00, the same as general admission. After the meeting, sign ups will be available at BB. We need a count by November 6th. This deadline will assure we have CAL tables reserved.

Have a beautiful fall weekend.

Linda Zinn
