Dear Volunteers, It has really begun to feel like Fall these last few days. My husband and I have been “negotiating” on whether we need to turn on the furnace. I, for one, am not ready to concede! But the Fall feeling is lovely inside Bizarre Bazaar. So far, we have mostly been doing “transitioning,” which entails still putting out lighter weight garments (especially with the warmer weather we were having!). However next week there are markdowns, so watch out! Here come sweaters, light jackets, pumpkins and all the fun things of Fall. Wednesday, September 17th, we hosted the lovely ladies of Mountain West Bank for a Fashion Seminar, conducted by our own Carla Lariza. Thank you to the volunteers who have offered to be the “dressers”, assisting our guests in choosing some great outfits. On Wednesday, October 1st through Monday, October 6th, the All-Black promotion will start, featuring jewelry, shoes, and Women’s clothing that is all black at 50% off. Good deals, so spread the word! Also, on October 1st, there is the Bi-Annual Team Leader and Department Head Meeting at 3:30 p.m. If you are interested in becoming a Team Leader, you are invited to attend. Just let one of your managers know. |
Hints and Reminders!
- Please check the Volunteer sign-up list on our website. We have very few volunteers signed up for September. You have expressed annoyance with all the emails put out by Team Leaders for help, but people are not registering for shifts. If you are having difficulty with the sign-up page, ask your Team Leader, or Robbie Gleason, for help. It is hard to run a business if you do not know in advance if any volunteers will be there. Many thanks to those who have signed up or who have responded to the emails. You are wonderful!
- If you have not been in the Long Room lately, it is stuffed to the rafters with all sorts of wonderful Winter apparel. Until we can start moving that onto the floor, we literally have no room for all the incoming summer donations. Please hold on to your summer finery until we let you know there is room. Many thanks.
- Steve Garvan is hoping you have some records (LP’s, vinyl) you are no longer listening to. He has said our supply is dwindling.
