BIZARRE BAZAAR
NEWS

Dear Volunteers,

Happy Anniversary! 20 years ago, on March 15th, Bizarre Bazaar opened its doors. It took an incredible amount of work - and vision- to transform the yearly rummage sale into a brick and mortar, 6 days a week shop. But Community Assistance League (CAL) members, stepped up to the job. And they continue to do so, week after week, month after month and year after year. Some of the faces may have changed, but the desire to keep the shop running to support our Grant and Scholarship programs is still here. Thank you to all volunteers who have made this happen and who continue to do so.

February is customarily one of our slower months, but this past February finished as the second-best February. Of course, that is due to you, you wonderful volunteers!

Important Items
  • Spring is at Bizarre Bazaar. Flowers, beautiful soft colors, and a sense of lightness. The only winter wear you see is on the sale racks. Of course, you know where I am going – the time for heavy clothing is over for now. Kindly keep anything winter, including fleece leggings, wool sweaters, parkas, turtlenecks, et al, in the back room. It does make sense, though, to not get too excited by putting out sundresses, picnic baskets, and the like – this is North Idaho, after all.

  • The bi-annual Team Leader and Department Head Meeting was held on Wednesday, March 17, at 3:30 p.m., at Bizarre Bazaar. If you are interested in being a Team Leader, please see a manager or a Team Leader to learn what is involved in being one. Our Team Leaders and Department Heads are amazing!

March, April & May Volunteer Calendars
are available online now!

>>>> Online sign up <<<<

You can sign up on-line or if you have difficulty with that contact our Volunteer Coordinator,
Robbie Gleason

208-627-2983 or northidahogirl50@gmail.com
There is also a paper calendar near the pricing station at Bizarre Bazaar.

Our shop is still busy with customers & we would also be delighted to see you, our volunteers, as well. Please sign up on our Volunteer Scheduling Tool! We look forward to seeing you. Please remember to sign up for a shift, or two, or three….We have had feedback that it has been difficult to log into ClubRunner and the scheduling screen. Robbie Gleason (208-627-2983) has been very helpful in getting people back on line.

➡️ An additional issue has come up recently that a member may have lost the ability to receive e-mail from CAL.

➡️ At the bottom of the bulletin, there is a field that allows you to Unsubscribe. If you check that, you will no longer receive the bulletin (or any other mail from CAL). If you have accidentally selected this, please contact Robbie Gleason or Karen Hanna to turn it back on.

Again, we thank you for being there, for doing the work, for helping our customers, and for the joy you put out there. Bizarre Bazaar volunteers are the best!

With the most heartfelt appreciation,

Cherie Warber, Carol Visger, Donna Hutter, Ann Nichols
