Goodbye Dear Friends...

Clarice Parsons was an original Team Leader for week 1 beginning 10 years ago. Just the last few years her team generously took over that job for her. She was so dedicated to that responsibility and so respected by us all. Pam Bird loved CAL and Bizarre Bazaar. She even took time from her busy schedule to volunteer at the shop. She loved to spend an afternoon ironing, as she found it restful. Vivian Congreve, the dear mother of Carol Fels, our bookkeeper, and mother-in law to Joy Congreve was an active member and volunteer of BB. She liked to work with Cindy at BB, and Cindy loved working with her and Joy.

Greetings Dear Volunteers,

It has been a couple of weeks of sad goodbyes to dear members. It's just so hard to believe they have left us.

A few notes:

1. Regarding the Credit Card machine: Continue to slide the cards through the side slot. The company will notify us when we will begin using the front of the machine for cards with chips. Any questions, please call Joyce at 946-9132.

2. Two volunteers are needed to distribute donations, then the week will be covered. Many hands make light work; taking the donations daily keeps BB tidy and isn't so overwhelming for anyone. Please consider helping.

Monday - Lin Otey

Tuesday - help needed

Wednesday - Leslie Finn

Thursday - help needed

Friday - Marilyn Haddad

Saturday - Cindy Chenault

3. Have you noticed the fall window? It is gorgeous. Linda Zinn is our outstanding window display artist. Thank you so much, Linda.

4. The sensational sisters, Rose Chaney and Judy Dubrowski have tackled the Christmas room and have gone through at least 3/4th of the boxes, organizing and pricing, getting us ready for the big day.

THE BIG DECORATING DAY

When: November 1, 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. (day after Halloween)

What: Transforming the shop into a CHRISTMAS extravaganza.

Pot luck lunch at noon. It's a wonderful day. Please plan on helping out.

Thank you for all you do to make the shop so successful.

Fondly,

Joyce and Cindy
