BIZARRE BAZAAR FALL NEWS

Dear CAL Members,

Was that a fun general meeting or what? I felt as if I had just dropped in on the liveliest end-of-summer reunion, chatting with old pals! It looks like it will be a fun year, so hang on! It’s also shaping up to be a great year at Bizarre Bazaar as well. We keep breaking records for sales and the donations coming in are over-the-top wonderful. If you’ve not dropped by recently, please do and see all the fabulous finds!

Speaking of which, if you’ve not dropped by in a while, we have open spots on the calendar and would love to see YOUR name in some of those spots. Sign up with a friend or just come in and make a new friend. Either way, you can have a rewarding and enjoyable 3 hours!

And speaking once again of BB, there are only a few days left to get your contest entry forms in to “Name That Girl or Guy”. The deadline is Friday afternoon, September 30th. For those of you who missed the general meeting, Diane and I announced our contest to have you name the 8 female and 3 male mannequins. There will be prizes! Entry forms are at the shop next to the cash register and you may enter as many times as you like. Hurry on down and join the fun!

Training: If you are a new member or just want a refresher, come join us for “Mini-Training” on either September 29th or October 13th, 9.30 a.m. at BB. It should take about an hour. Have Diane initiate you into the mysteries of the cash register or Cherie can astonish you with sleights of hand in making donations magically appear in the shop! Don’t miss the action! RSVP either one of us:

And just a few shop tidbits……Summer is over, sigh, and so are the summer clothes. In other words, all summery things need to stay in the back room. Fall clothes are the “in” thing now! It’s still a little early for winter, so let’s leave heavy coats, sweaters, scarves, etc. in the back as well. If you are looking for the shed keys, they are now located in a drawer under the calendar. And please remember to use the proper hanger when processing donations. The skirt hanger is only for skirts and pants and the set hanger is only for sets. See how easy that is?

One more thing….we recently had a customer come in and then leave after not being greeted or acknowledged in any way. Please keep in mind no matter how busy you are, the customer comes first and should always be made to feel welcome at Bizarre Bazaar.

Hoping your fall is beautiful!
Diane and Cherie
