Dear Members, This was my last board meeting as Communications Chair, because at some point in the months ahead I’m moving to the Phoenix area. I have loved living in greater Sandpoint, most especially loved being part of Community Assistance League mission. Your friendships have been the best part of my short years here. Unfortunately, I discovered I’m not suited for North Idaho: It’s too cold, too rural, and too far from an international airport. Getting home from Croatia last month I was delayed 22 hours! I will help the new Communications Chair settle into her role as much as she wants me to, and I’ll continue to head up the many communication tasks associated with the Bizarre Bazaar move through October. And I will pay my annual dues in July - I plan to be a CAL gal even from afar. Any way I can contribute remotely, I’ll do it. This organization is a welcome part of me and I don’t want to let go. Meantime I am in no rush to leave, but hope to depart North Idaho before my next trip (Italy in March). Until then you can still find me pricing women’s clothing at the store.
