Welcome to our newest Community Assistance League (CAL) members since April: Carolyn Gleason, Lydia De Pano, Tina Swim, Donald Ludden, Nancy Drews, Kay Pihl, Sandy Lindsey, and Bonnie Jakubos (returning member). We look forward to working with you and getting to know you!
Our new Program Chair, Barbara Carver, has great speakers lined up for our October and November meetings. Please read her article, and review the upcoming speaker announcements on our home page. We have decided to try scheduling a Bizarre Bazaar yard maintenance work party meeting once a month, during the months of May through October. We will meet on the second Sunday of the month at 8:30 am at Bizarre Bazaar. Please bring your own work gloves and any tools you have available. We’ll see how things go and have fun while we clean things up to show off our store!
The General meeting on September 17 had an open discussion about your memories of CAL and Bizarre Bazaar over the years - many wonderful stories.
It is hard to believe, but we will be celebrating our 20-year Bizarre Bazaar store anniversary next spring. I am hoping we will have lots of special stories to share and record for our celebration next spring. If you are unable to make it to the meeting, please have another member share for you, or send a message to our Communications chair, Kathryn Larson, at kathy@rileythinks.com or (208) 610-1582.
