Thank You!

Dear CAL Members,

Last year, Jeralyn Mire of Sandpoint high school, asked CAL to participate in the Senior Finance Fair. At the Fair, students are given a card with their ‘life’ written on it: their career, family, health issues, if any, and from there they have to plan a budget to be able to meet their needs on the supposed income. The Fair includes housing, transportation, food, education and other expenses. Each expense has representatives ‘manning’ a table which the students visit where volunteers help them make a decision for their budget. Last year, Jeralyn added a ‘giving back to the community’ table and since CAL funds them, she asked us to participate, which is now a standing invitation - how great is that? I need 2 more volunteers to ‘man’ this years table. Would any of you like to step up? The Senior Finance Fair is on October 10, Wednesday, from 8:30 a.m. to approximately noon. Please let me know if you’re interested. This is an eye-opening and inspiring experience. I thank you in advance for considering to participate.

We had the first private tour of WUNDERKAMMER, Curio Cabinet this week, of the newest exhibit at the Bonner County Historical Museum. Heather will be hosting one more tour, Wednesday, October 10, starting at 11:00 a.m. The tour should take 30-45 minutes, and you may stay after to see the other exhibits at the Museum. If anyone would like a more in-depth museum tour. I hope the pictures will whet your appetite to see the exhibit!! Please contact me directly at if interested in the last scheduled tour.
