REMEMBER THE FOURTH!

Dear CAL members,

"Classic in its simplicity, yet profound in its message...one of the best leadership books that I have ever read." - The Art of Leadership by Mel Bly, former President of Warner Music Publishing.

Sherry handed me this little book and said, "I don't think anyone has ever read this but here it is." Curiosity got the best of me so I opened the book to the first chapter. After a few pages I closed the tiny book. A wise Sage (me) once said, "A competent leader surrounds herself with creative, dependable, and caring people." That being said, with the wonder board I have, everything is possible. We are looking forward to a productive and fun year.

The July 4th parade is just around the corner. This year, we are honoring CAL's Women of Wisdom. So far we have eight l
ovely ladies signed up. If you are a past or current WOW and would like to be honored, please email me or Sherry Ennis, your new Vice President. Thank you to those who have volunteered to help decorate the float on June 30th. We will meet at Joyce Spiller's, 10624 West Pine St, Sandpointat 10:00 a.m.

We still need ladies to march on the 4th. There is a sign up sheet next to the calendar at BB. If you are marching or decorating and can participate in the picnic at Joyce’s house (after the parade), please sign up at BB - your husbands are welcome also. The social committee will need a count by June 30th for planning the picnic.

Look forspecial email on or before June 28 with details on the "Decoration" Party and instructions for the day of the Parade (where to meet, when to meet, what to wear, etc)!!

Have a beautiful weekend,
Linda Zinn
