MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

Good Day Dear CAL Members,

It is snowing again in my neck of the woods, so it’s a very wintery day. I need a new book to read, please e-mail suggestions to me. I must have a book pending at all times.

It was a great meeting on Wednesday. It is always fun when we have a full house. I enjoyed Clint Nichols' presentation with all his beautiful pictures. Thank you, Charlene Matheson, for booking these wonderful programs. I'm looking forward to meeting Falcon, the service dog at next month's meeting.

I would like to give a big hug to Cheri Warber and Diane Arrants. They donated two Bizarre Bazaar gift certificates, each for $100.00, to a local family who lost everything in a recent home fire. Giving and helping others is what we are all about. Two $25.00 Bizarre Bazaar gift certificates have also been donated to The Bonner County Daily Bee. The certificates will be a part of an education fund raiser.

Recently we found ourselves with $6,500.00 from returned scholarship awards. There was a brief discussion at the meeting and a suggestion was made to put $600.00 towards our ICF foundation fund and place the remaining $5,900.00 into the general fund. A motion was made, a second motion was declared and this decision was accepted. Thank you everyone.
