PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
|
Dear Members,
Can you believe it is almost March? It’s amazing how quickly the months are passing us by. We have had another unusual winter, with a “dry January” followed by more snow this month. Now a warming trend is coming – never a dull moment in North Idaho!
Our sales have slowed a bit at Bizarre Bazaar this month, but that does not mean it will continue. Most stores are having a rough time right now. Customers are tentative about the state of the economy and are holding back to see how everything works out. Our Community Assistance League (CAL) dynamic store managers have great plans for specials and displays to keep the store fresh and attractive to our customers. And don’t forget to donate any items to the store that you may no longer need.
Please take time to thank our managers for their leadership and dedication, along with our department heads and all of the volunteers who continue to keep the store humming. After all, this is our bread and butter.
We have great speakers lined up for our General Membership meetings for the next two months. We will be inviting the public to hear wilderness expert Karie Lee Knoke in March and author Rachel Jeffs in April. Please plan to attend these events, and feel free to bring friends and family to listen to these amazing women. These events will also be opportunities to attract new members. Remember, men are also welcome to join!
I encourage you to mark your calendars to attend our monthly General Meetings in 2025, held each third Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. Our future speakers and upcoming activities are listed on our Homepage: Community Assistance League of Sandpoint.
I am truly thankful for each and every one of you, and I continue to be awed by your creativity, unique talents and willingness to make our organization shine!
