Dear Members,
Wow, the weather really turned nasty in the past week. It’s time to break out your raincoat and start bundling up. I hear the weather predictions are calling for a cold winter. Brrrr! 🥶
Welcome to our newest members since September: Jackie Carter, Vickie Cooper, Susan Fingel, Tom Zinn. Please make sure to say hello to them when you see them.
Our last yard clean up at Bizarre Bazaar was held on Saturday, October 11. Thanks to Barda Cameron and Shawna Perry for braving the weather and helping to clean out the beds and pull weeds. I also like to thank my husband, Mike Davis, for trimming the tree in front and weed-eating the courtyard. Our next clean up will be held in April, 2026.
Thanks to all of you who provided stories at the last General meeting, about your experiences in Community Assistance League (CAL) and Bizarre Bazaar over the past 20 years. We will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of Bizarre Bazaar next spring. Please make sure to share your stories with Kathryn Larson, our Communications chair at kathy@rileythinks.com or (208) 610-1582. She is planning on submitting several stories to the local newspapers to help us celebrate our wonderful store!
For the past several months, I have been sending all members an email with a link to the Idaho Community Foundation (ICF) newsletter. Please take time to look through the information and articles presented, as ICF is very active and doing great things for the communities in the State of Idaho. We invest in an ICF Endowment fund, for financial stability in the future. Please note the wonderful financial gains we have made by reviewing the Endowment Fund Corner in the monthly E-Bulletin. Consider donating to CAL’s future through ICF.
We have a very busy Holiday season coming up, with several exciting events planned. Stay in touch and watch for reminders about our store events, social events, and meetings. I hope to see you at one or more event soon.
