SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Dear Members,
I am looking for a few more volunteers for the Scholarship Committee. It does not require a huge investment of your time beginning mid-March, and ending May 12th. The committee will meet once to learn the process, understand the evaluation forms and select a partner to work with. Then on April 13th, each person will get a stack of applications to read and evaluate. Once you have completed this, you will trade with your partner, and repeat the process. After that, the two of you will get together and rate them all. Finally, the first week of May, we will meet as a committee and decide how many scholarships to give and to whom. The schools will then be notified by May 12th, 3:00 p.m. as to which of their students will be receiving a scholarship.
It is a very rewarding experience seeing what these young people have accomplished, being able to help them recognize their dreams, and seeing first hand one of Community Assistance League's major contributions to our community.
