Senior Gift Giving Program
 
Dear Members,
 
Community Assistance League is trying to give a small remembrance gift to every senior in the Meals-on-Wheels program and this year the number of gifts we need has doubled. We are asking all of our members to adopt a senior or two.
 
 
It is easy:
  • Call me with your name and telephone number and select one or more seniors
  • Buy gifts
  • Wrap the gifts and attach the seniors numbers prominently on the gift packages.
  • Put the gift packages on the counters in the room behind the ironing area at Bizarre Bazaar
 
All gifts due by Monday 12/5 when the store closes.
 

This may be the most meaningful gift you give this season. You will only know the gender of your recipient (HIPAA regs). Use your imagination. Some thoughts that I have had with regard to gifts are warm socks, fingerless gloves, throws, large print books, puzzle books, jigsaw puzzles, candy, shawl, flashlight and batteries, a little Christmas room ornament, tea, shortbread, muffler, mints.
 
Don’t feel you have to go crazy. Just a little gift and a card will make someone feel good.
