SPECIAL PROJECT - FINANCE FAIR - SANDPOINT HIGH SCHOOL
Hi Members,
Sandpoint High School’s Finance fair was held Friday, February 6th at the high school auditorium.
The students were assigned a profile of their future including marital status, children, profession, debt and possible student loan debt. During the morning event, each student kept a monthly payment budget in a checkbook register. They visited 10 stations where they purchased a car, bought food, rented or bought a house, clothing, recreational toys, personal items and paid monthly debt loans.
We Community Assistance League ladies educated the students as to why donating to their community was a joy and should be a commitment. The comments and reactions from these young adults were priceless. We had so much fun seeing our future kids budget their way through life.
