Festival of Trees
Dear Members,
Kinderhaven’s Festival of Trees is on the horizon, and the CAL tree committee under the direction of Julia Kern, is busy ensuring that our tree will be a big winner this year. The theme for the tree is “Date Night” and all (well, maybe, not all!) that is connected with a night out with your honey. Some of the items that have been collected so far are a stay at a condo in San Jose del Cabo, Baja; many dinners at local eateries; massages; Festival at Sandpoint and theater tickets. If you have an appropriate item you would like to donate, please contact Julia at 208-920-3286. The committee is also requesting GOOD bottles of wine or monetary donations to purchase them, and ornaments in copper, lime green and pearl white. There is a bin in the back of the clubhouse at Bizarre Bazaar.
The Kinderhaven luncheon will be held on Friday, December 1, 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the Bonner County Fairgrounds. We will have four reserved tables; the tickets are $50. There will be sign-ups at the November General meeting. If you and a group of friends would like to sponsor your own table, you may do so for $650 for a table of 8. Blankies
If you are in need of supplies for making blankies, please check the bin at the back of the Clubhouse at Bizarre Bazaar; it’s under the blankie basket. You will find yarn and fabrics for quilts. I have several darling donated quilt tops that are in need of backing and batting. Give me a call if you would like to finish one of these quilts.
