Get Ready for our
4th of July Festivities

Dear Members,

The Scholarship program WAS AN AWESOME EVENT. If you were lucky enough to enjoy this year’s Scholarship Presentation at the June 19th meeting you would agree that it was perfect. It was simple, enjoyable, tearful and graciously done. The mixture of current and past recipients was an effective reminder as what a joyful experience it is to be a part of CAL. Thank you Sally and the Scholarship Committee.

A fun CAL event is being a part of the CAL float in the Sandpoint Fourth of July parade. There is opportunity to help decorate on Wednesday, July 3 and ride/walk with the float on Thursday, July 4th.

SCHEDULE FOR THE PARADE EVENTS

Float Decorating: Wednesday, July 3 at 9:30 a.m. behind Bizarre Bazaar
Parade: Gather at Bizarre Bazaar, Thursday, July 4, at 9:00 a.m.
Attire: White pants & shoes, with blue CAL bling or regular blue shirt OR our CAL old-fashioned bathing suit costume
Theme: “40 years of Volunteers” - the more members, the merrier

YOU DON’T WANT TO BE LEFT OUT OF THE BIG SURPRISE for
CAL's 40th BIRTHDAY!

On September 18, 2019 at our General Meeting will be at the Panida Theater, at 1:00 p.m. It will include a celebration of our 40 year history. In order to make it a fun surprise for everyone we are asking all members to participate without knowing the complete program. There are all kinds of opportunities to be a part of this celebration throughout the summer so keep an eye out for emails regarding participation opportunities. Sign up sheets for participation are available at Bizarre Bazaar.

The celebration at 2:30 p.m. will include family and friends, the community, grant and scholarships recipients, and all the various partnering groups that have worked with CAL throughout the past 40 years. Plan on being a part of the spirit of CAL that has been an integral part of Bonner County for the past 40 years.

THAT WAS AN AWESOME PRESENTATION! It can't be said enough - this year’s Scholarship Presentation at the June 19th meeting was just plain awesome.
