Dear Members,

It’s snowing outside (or it was when I was writing this), and it feels a lot like Christmas.

As I sit and look at my Christmas tree, the lights and pictures of my grandchildren around my tree with their wide-open eyes, it makes me think about the CAL tree for Kinderhaven.

Thanks to Kathy Chambers at Kinderhaven for working with Julia and providing the list of most needed items, and thanks to Sandpoint Furniture for partnering with us and hosting our tree. It seems as though our concept of gifts that go directly to the Kinderhaven residents has caught on and will be “expected” from here on. I hope you like it as well as I do and that we can find it in our hearts to continue.

CAL's 2020 Kinderhaven Tree
Julia Kern did such a wonderful job on our tree this year and again we had the highest bid on a tree ($7,500). The gifts we volunteers donated to make this tree complete will be so appreciated by the less fortunate children who receive them.

It makes me feel warm and fuzzy knowing that these children were not forgotten on Christmas. Check out the photos in the album for pictures of CAL’s tree.
🎄☃️🍾🎁

Look for updates in the bulletin (for members) or on CAL'S Homepage for activities happening after the first of the year and into spring and summer.

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.

Regards and Happy Holidays,
