Dear Members,
Where has the year gone? It’s nearly time for our new fiscal year to begin, and I am so honored to be on Board as your new President. Beth is a hard act to follow. Buckle up, as it’s going to be a wild ride for awhile!
By now, some of you have seen the new store and are excited about the space. Some of you may not be as excited, and we hope you will soon love it. We are making the space “ours” and it will truly be a unique place for our customers. Volunteers have already started to paint and to “spruce up” the place. There is a way for everyone to help. Please let Sherry Fulton know of your interests and what you can offer. We will use all the help we can get. Thanks!
Please plan to join us on July 3 to decorate our 4th of July parade float. We will meet at Bizarre Bazaar at 9:00 a.m. There is always plenty to do, and we need many hands for putting together our beautiful float. On July 4th, please be at the store at 9:00 a.m., so that we can get everyone situated before the parade starts at 10:00 a.m. Once again, we thank Karen and Larry Hanna for volunteering the use of their trailer for the float, and thanks to Tom Zinn for pulling the float with his truck. Did you know that Barbee Buchanan updates our painted arch in the float each year? What creative talent! We are blessed to have such generous members and spouses. Thank you, as well, to our new Vice President, Norma Bartenhagen, for coordinating this year’s 4th of July parade.
We are all looking forward to warmer weather and fun times during the summer. Enjoy!
