BIZARRE BAZAAR
FEBRUARY NEWS

Dear Volunteers,

Wow! Back pats all around! Congratulations! This January was our best January on record, coming in at a very sweet $15,966.34! (Note: This was about $6,000 more than last year.) This is what happens when we all pull together and get ‘er done. Thank you to sorters, ironers, pricers and those who got it on the floor. Thanks to Robert Qualls as well for a lovely Auction Sales donation. And on a side note, we mustn’t forget to thank our great customers and those who bring in donations as well. They are a wonderful part of the equation.

A big thanks to Tom Zinn for procuring and installing the new toilet in the customer bathroom. We have been experiencing continuing problems with the existing toilet overflowing and not flushing correctly. Hopefully these issues are over. Fingers crossed!

Reminders to Team Leaders
The Team Leader meeting will be Thursday, February 22nd, 9:00 a.m. at Bizarre Bazaar. Not too many RSVPs so far, so please let Diane or I know. We have several new things to share with you and are looking forward to hearing your thoughts and ideas.

Team Leaders — if you trade with another Team Leader, please update the calendar with this info. We hate calling the wrong person when neither one shows up.

Transition from Winter to Early Spring
Yikes! It is rather challenging to figure out what clothes to put out on the floor. We are finished with deep winter, so please, no more heavy coats, scarves, hats or gloves. No more ski wear. No more cotton turtlenecks or heavy sweaters. But, let’s not jump the gun and go all summery. We’re looking for jeans, slacks, raincoats, lighter sweaters, blouses, long sleeve tees. If a customer is lucky enough to be going somewhere deliciously warm and sunny, you are welcome to offer lighter weight wear from the back.

As you all know by now, we received an incredible donation from Lisa Larson at Pedro’s. These items are expensive and new and are not to go out on the floor with our usual prices. You will start seeing the clothing next month, but most of the hard goods are already on the floor.

Donations!
Now is a great time for you to clean out those closets and cupboards and share some of your wonderful goodies with us. We are particularly looking for furniture and household items. (Rose Chaney is starting to run out of things to pull out of the back, back room so let’s keep her busy!)

There are going to be some new guidelines coming out on pricing but will be addressed in a separate email. We think you are going to like these and we hope they will make things simpler.

Once again, Diane and I want to thank you for such an amazing job! You are all incredible!

In appreciation for all you do,
Diane and Cherie
