BIZARRE BAZAAR
May News

Dear Volunteers,

In one word, WOW! Wow on your hard work paying off in the amount CAL was able to share with the Bonner community. Wow on the amount of donations flying into Bizarre Bazaar. And most of all, wow to all of you coping with life’s little hurdles thrown in your way (like no hangers). Thank you volunteers, for all the work you do to manage and help make Bizarre Bazaar such a success. You rock!

For those of you who haven’t volunteered in a while, come on down and join the rocking WOW teams. There are always a lot of things to do and you are certain to find some little task that lies in your personal field of expertise or interest. Keep in mind that “Lost in the Fifties” is the unofficial start of Sandpoint’s tourist season and the customer traffic picks up considerably. We can always use some extra, willing and capable hands…..and it goes without saying, your great welcoming smiles.

A few timely tips:

We are in full summer swing, so let’s tuck those Fall or Winter items away in storage. Our customers are looking for dresses, crops, shorts and housewares for their decks or entertaining those summer visitors.

Cleaning out the fitting rooms and returning clothes to the floor is important. With the increase of shoppers, there is an increase on items being tried on. Things sell so much better hanging on the racks, not in the go-back or lingerie areas.

And another important thing to remember is everything going on the floor needs to be clean and have a price tag on it (with a couple of exceptions like books, CDs, DVDs and the like.

Again, to those of you who so kindly share your time with us, we thank you. Bizarre Bazaar can not succeed without each and every one of you.

In appreciation for all you do,
Diane and Cherie
