Good day to everyone,

Another beautiful day in paradise!

I enjoyed hosting the meeting on Wednesday so much. Thank you for your support. Sherry's shoes are very difficult to fill. I'm sure she is enjoying her African hunting safari. She is looking for the perfect shot…….. No, no, I mean the perfect photo shot. Can't wait to see her photographs.

Thank you to Dixie for inviting Dale and Vickie Jeffres to the meeting. The Day Of Hope event in October will be such a beautiful day to help those in need in our county. With Board approval, we would like to be apart of one booth. We thought possibly we would help with children's shoes. Sue Vogelsinger thought it would also be nice to give away children's books at our booth as well. We already have a tub full of children's books in the back room. Please fill free to bring in good quality books to add to our collection.

Once again it was so nice to give back to our community. Joan Avery and Jim Payne were gracious recipients of our donation. We raised $1,400 for the Teen Center. Thank you CAL ladies.

Reminders

Paws For A Cause in on June 27th from 8:00 am to 12 noon, location the Balto Dog Walk at Dover Bay. We have a great committee working to make this event a success.

Come out and join even if you don't have a pooch. The walk is lovely. Thanks Tina for your presentation.

July 4th is fast approaching. Thanks for all the sign ups. If you plan on helping to decorate the float or walking/marching with us and want to attend the picnic please email Lin Otey as soon as possible. She will need a lunch count. Thank you to our darling Joyce Spiller for sharing her garden once again.

Mary Sturgis was with her family last week in southern California. We wish them good luck. What a wonderful event, raising money for “24 Hours For Hank”. You can follow their progress by liking Bike Across America, Laughing Dog team, on Facebook.

It was an emotional Scholarship program this year; our beautiful Scholarship chair, Val Albi, is moving to Brookings, Oregon. We love her so much and will miss her dearly. The young men and women recipients were once again gracious and so impressive. They are our future and we wish them well in their dreams.

Have a beautiful day everyone.

Linda Zinn
