Hi Members,
We currently have 243 members of CAL! Please check your contact information in Clubrunner to verify that it is correct. If you need a new password or help logging in please contact me and I can assist you. If you are able to keep signed into Clubrunner then you should be able to access the on-line schedule signup without signing in each time.
As you know our fiscal year runs from July 1st through June 30th. This means the election of new CAL Officers for 2020-2021 will be held in May at the General Meeting. These elected positions will include President, Vice President, and Secretary. Linda Gibbs will continue as treasurer. Appointed Standing Committee Chair positions will be decided upon later by the incoming President.
Nominations for Officer positions are drawn from the general membership with the exception of the office of President. This one position must be drawn from the sitting Board of Directors according to our By-Laws.
Nomination cards were provided at the February General Meeting. If you were unable to attend this meeting, but have any interest in nominating yourself or another member for Vice President, or Secretary, please contact me by email or phone me no later than March 1st.
The Nominating Committee will be meeting on March 4th to compile a slate of members who will be standing for the electable positions. This slate will be announced at the March General Meeting in preparation for the election in May. (Note: we are skipping the April General Meeting date in lieu of our annual Spring luncheon.)
Standing Committee Chairs are appointed by the President and are NOT voted upon, but please indicate if you or another member have interest in serving as a Committee chair.
Please consider serving on the CAL Board as an officer or Committee Chair. We are looking for new faces to join the board which in turn provides us with fresh new ideas and perspectives. I urge you to become involved in CAL as an officer, Committee chair or committee member because it is very rewarding to you as an individual, to CAL as a whole and also to our community.
Our incoming President hopes to have a multitude of nominees from which to choose from for each Standing Committee Chair position.
