FRIENDSHIP, FELLOWSHIP & COMMUNITY

Dear Members,

As we move through spring into the longer, hotter days of summer, it’s hard to think about business. Many of us just want to have fun! We can all have fun while we support Community Assistance League (CAL).

Developing CAL’s Strategic plan is an eye-opening experience for me. Identifying major goals of our organization and how to meet those goals is something many of us haven’t really thought about. Our team hopes to have a plan ready to share with our members this fall. Please let me know your thoughts about how you would like to see our organization grow in the future.

It’s not too late to start thinking about the 4th of July parade. We will proudly participate with a float again this year. Many thanks to Karen & Larry Hanna for providing the trailer and to Tom Zinn for providing his truck to pull it. The parade theme this year is “70 Years of Service”, which is how long the Lion’s Club has been serving the community. We will need to support that theme with our decorations and signs, as well as advertising CAL’s accomplishments and service. Please consider helping with decorating the float. We also need volunteers to ride on the float. Let me know if you are interested!

Thank you all!
