NEW "ZOOM" TECHNOLOGY ADOPTED
FOR MEETINGS

CAL Ladies and Gentleman,

Well, CAL members, we pulled it off. We just catapulted ourselves from being “Boomers,” a lot of us, to “Zoomers". Congratulations! We are now part of the Tech World.

Wednesday’s general meeting via Zoom was a grand success. Even though we are looking forward to in-person meetings beginning in March, we will continue to have the Zoom option available for those unable to attend.

Anyone interested in a Zoom Workshop let me know at draibe@hotmail.com or 208-920-3543. If we have enough interest, I will be happy to set something up. We made it through switching to an electronic calendar; we can do this too. Having Zoom available as part of our regular meeting will mean that we can reach the greatest number of our members wherever they are, including by phone.

As you may have heard, we will be meeting live in the dining room at Tango for our next general meeting on March 19th. The day we meet is a change as well as other things that have changed, but we will persevere and turn lemons into lemonade. We are still working the kinks out behind the scenes to make these changes as seamless as possible. Please join us as we continue our important work in this new age of technology and COVID.

Our grant and scholarship cycles are ramping up. We are so excited to have comparable funds to last year to contribute to our students and other organizations in Bonner County this year in spite of the pandemic. Watch for the most current updates from our committee chairs, when details are available.

The Blankie Project continues apace as well as the Healing Garden. Stay tuned in for regular updates and work group opportunities.

Let’s welcome spring with all the enthusiasm and fervor we can muster and demonstrate the CAL spirit. Looking forward to seeing everyone in March.
